● Nerolda Katte – This is the spot where the spirit of Kodamanithaya made itself known to Devu Balipa when the historic legend took place. The dompa seve is conducted at this spot during every annual ceremony, and the ritual of distributing prasadam using the leaves of Indian blackberry (nerale) is still prevalent as a symbol of respect to the spot.

● Kaipulla Baakyaru, or Baakimaaru – All rituals associated with Bhootaradhane are held at this spot named Baakimaaru. This place was full of thorny bushes and shrubs before the spirit of Kodamanithaya burnt them down and converted the land into a religiously significant one. Since then, only auspicious occurrings take place here.

● Gaaligudde – This is the place where Kodamanithaya presented himself in the form f light at Thodar. This place, which is naturally the root of all spiritual beliefs associated with this temple, was actually forgotten about until a long time. However, in 1988, the spot was re-disovered through a ritual of questioning the deities; which yielded an answer that there shall be a lamp at the spot if people went excavating. True to the prediction, an earthen lamp was discovered at the same spot and eventually a shrine was established over it, which has since then been the centre of all ritualistic activities associated with Kodamanithaya.

● Karthule bhaava – This is the place where all boundaries of Thodar are defined since ages.

● The three marked spots – There are three custom-oriented markings of spots done namely – Padu Peralakatte, Kukkuda Katte and Gundeer. These are the places where dompada bali ritual takes place alternatively every year, and the respective village heads or families monitor the ritual at their home spot.

● Thodaru Gutuu – This prominent house at Thodar was constructed by Devu Balipa, and has housed the essence of the Kodamanithaya legend within itself since its establishment. Hence, fragments of the bhootaradhane ritual take place here as well. The procession of the gold and silver entourages of the spirit starts from this house during every bhootakola, known as the bhandara. There are also other prominent homes associated with the Kodamanithya legacy namely – Padyodi Guttu, Maari Guttu, Haanya Guttu, Mudodi Guttu, Bardila Guttu and Bardila Barke.
